Ken Morgan, President of Karate Instructors Association International, LLC which owns Pflugerville Martial Arts Academy, began his Martial Arts Training in 1967. He holds Dan (Black Belt) rank in Shorin Ryu Karate, Okinawan Kobudo (traditional weapons), Goshin Jitsu (self defense) and is a certified C.O.B.R.A. Self Defense Instructor.

In 2001 Shihan Morgan was presented with the prestigious “Martial Achievement” award during induction into the World Karate Union
Hall of Fame and the “Lifetime Achievement Award” from the Action Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2008 and in 2009 was also inducted into the Universal Martial Arts Association Hall of Fame.
Mr. Morgan ensures that our Pflugerville Martial Arts Academy instructors go through an extensive selection process to ensure we have only the best and most talented instructors in the world.
Once selected, they are put through intense and rigorous
of training to guarantee the highest quality of instruction. Once our instructor is certified to teach our unique and effective system, they are then required to receive 40 hours of continuing martial arts
and instructor education yearly. This training includes fitness, kickboxing, bjj and how to manage a kids martial arts class at our
This ongoing training allows our instructors to stay up to date on the latest and most effective self defense techniques, teaching methods, nutrition and exercise science. This re-certification process is our assurance that every student will continue to receive only the very best in martial arts training.
